Meet the Director

Welcome to Harleysville Learning Ceter! My name is Kristen Shade and I am the director here and I personally want to thank you for considering our school for the educational needs of your child.

I know that choosing childcare for your child is a difficult and sometimes daunting task. I want to assure you that I am here to assist you in any way possible, and to answer any questions or concerns, you may have regarding our center and childcare in general.

Our center is fully licensed by the Department of Public Welfare, and our Pre-K Classes and Kindergarten program are licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Education. All staff members are certified in first aid and CPR as well as fire safety and water safety for our summer months at the pool.

Our center is spacious, with large open classrooms, lots of natural light and sits on a beautiful 4+ acres of land that we use for various events throughout the year. Your child will be in a classroom with fully qualified teachers that truly care for the children they teach, and will help them develop social, emotional and gross motor skills, along with the academic skills that accompany our program.

As the director, I am here to assist you in any way I can, to help make the transition to childcare even easier and to make your child's school experience the very best it can be!
